Raven is a personal AI assistant built and operated by Jay VanVranken III. This privacy policy explains how Raven handles your data, including data accessed through Google Calendar.

Information We Collect

When you create a Raven account, we collect:

• Your email address and display name
• A hashed password (we never store your password in plain text)
• Your Anthropic API key (stored securely, used only to power your AI responses)
• Optional: your home city, interests, and Pushover notification key
• Conversation history and memories extracted from your conversations

Google Calendar Data

If you choose to connect your Google Calendar, Raven accesses your calendar data as follows:

• What we access: Upcoming calendar events from your primary Google Calendar (read-only)
• How we use it: Calendar events are used to answer scheduling questions in chat and to personalise your morning and evening briefs
• What we store: Your OAuth access token (required to maintain the connection). We do not store your calendar events — they are fetched at the time of each request and not retained
• Who we share it with: Nobody. Your calendar data is never sold, shared, or used for advertising
• How to disconnect: Go to Settings at any time and click Disconnect Calendar. This immediately revokes access and removes your stored token

Raven's use of Google Calendar data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to provide the Raven service to you:

• Conversation history and memories are used to personalise your AI responses
• Your home city is used to fetch local weather for your briefs
• Your Pushover key is used to send you notifications you request
• Your API key is used to send your messages to Anthropic on your behalf

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics products, or any purpose other than providing Raven to you.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database. Passwords are hashed using SHA-256 with a random salt before storage. API keys and OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest.

Third-Party Services

Raven integrates with the following third-party services:

• Anthropic — Your messages are sent to Anthropic's API using your own API key.
• Google Calendar — If connected, calendar data is accessed via Google's API.
• Pushover — If configured, notification content is sent through Pushover's service.
• Resend — Used to send invite emails only.

Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all data, contact us at the email below and we will permanently delete your data within 7 days.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. Disconnect any third-party integrations via Settings.

Children

Raven is not intended for users under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
